Job description

Responsibilities
  • Administer and process multi-state payroll for corporate employees on a weekly and bi weekly basis
  • Payroll for approximately 1,000 employees both hourly and salaried
  • Maintain employee data, department setups, and portfolio updates within UKG Pro (or similar large-scale system)
  • Take the lead on troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and compliance
  • Perform payroll reconciliations, reversals, and adjustments; understand their impact on reporting
  • Support quarterly and year-end review processes, including tax filings and audit preparation
  • Help identify system limitations and partner with leadership to problem solve and implement fixes
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • 5+ years of payroll experience (multi-state required)
  • Ability to lead through change and communicate collaboratively
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance and reporting
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience supporting a payroll implementation or system transition UKG Pro, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP Vantage, Dayforce, or another major HRIS/payroll system
  • Exposure to year-end payroll processes or quarterly tax review
  • Prior experience in a lead or senior payroll role
  • Comfortable mentoring peers and helping to improve processes
