Job summary

ARS-Rescue Rooter in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior Incentive Compensation Specialist to administer and process the company’s commission and incentive payments. You will calculate, validate, reconcile, and prepare incentive payments for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will interpret plan terms, resolve payment issues, and work with Compensation, Finance, Payroll, HR, IT, Sales, Operations, and field teams to maintain a strong audit trail and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years direct commission/incentive compensation experience.
• Knowledge of payroll principles and controls for incentive payments.
• Ability to interpret plans, investigate issues, and determine next steps.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline-driven work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with large data sets.
• Experience with Xactly Incent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process recurring commission and incentive payment cycles; data validation, calculation processing, reconciliations, adjustments, corrections, and payroll-file preparation.
• Review incentive plans and payment provisions to determine processing.
• Maintain employee eligibility, plan assignments, rates, thresholds, and hierarchies.
• Review data from sales, payroll, and source systems for missing or inaccurate information.
• Conduct pre- and post-calculation reviews, audits, and quality-control checks.
• Investigate payment discrepancies and determine resolutions.
• Process adjustments, corrections, reversals, and supporting documentation.
• Respond to payment questions and disputes from employees and partners.
• Work with cross-functional partners to resolve data, calculation, system, and payment issues.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation.
• Participate in system enhancements and testing.
• Prioritize work and communicate risks.
• Complete special projects.
