Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Pedestrian Door Solutions is seeking a Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist in the United States to ensure accurate and timely certified payroll processing, including prevailing wages, and to support broader payroll and benefits activities.

You will report to the Payroll and Benefits Manager and collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Operations to optimize data flows while maintaining compliance with wage, hour, tax, and union requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or Business Administration.
• 4–7 years of experience in payroll and benefits management.
• Knowledge of certified and prevailing wage.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Multi-state and multi-provincial payroll experience.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Payworks, or similar HCM system.
• Working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll tax and employment legislation.
• Ability to deal with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports and ensure accuracy with prevailing wage requirements.
• Support US/Canada payroll weekly/biweekly entry and reporting.
• Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with wage-hour laws, tax regulations, union agreements, and company policies.
• Cross-train within the department to provide backup coverage.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and vendor utilization to boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with HRIS, Accounting, and Operations to streamline data flows.
• Assist employees with time and attendance, benefits, and payroll questions.
