Job summary

Phoenix3 Collective is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead payroll and benefits administration for 800+ employees across multiple hospitality locations. The role requires strong multi-state payroll expertise and hands-on UKG Ready experience.

You will partner with People Operations, Finance, Operations, and location leaders to ensure accurate pay, effective benefits administration, and full regulatory compliance. 5+ years of payroll experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience supporting a workforce of 800+ employees.
• At least two years of hands-on UKG Ready experience (payroll and timekeeping).
• Hospitality industry payroll experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end multi-state payroll processing for 800+ hourly and salaried employees.
• Ensure accurate payrolls, including bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and special payments.
• Manage timekeeping, overtime, tip-based calculations, deductions, and leave programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws and regulations.
• Maintain payroll records, audit trails, and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile payroll data with GL, taxes, and vendor invoices.
• Coordinate payroll tax filings, unemployment accounts, and W-2 distribution.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee questions.
