Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to own end-to-end US (and Canadian) payroll processes, collaborating with HRIS, Equity, Accounting, Tax, and vendors to scale payroll operations. This role emphasizes product-like ownership, requiring you to define requirements and partner with engineers to shape payroll tooling.

You will report to the NORAM Payroll Manager and help build a tech-forward payroll function capable of supporting a high-growth, global business.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of progressive, hands-on experience processing complex, multi-state US payroll.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with modern payroll and HCM platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday HCM, UKG) and adaptability to new tools.
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with HRIS, Equity/Stock Administration, Accounting, Tax, Benefits, and Legal on payroll-impacting work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution of recurring US (and Canadian where applicable) payroll cycles with precision.
• Lead payroll initiatives of moderate-to-high complexity from scoping through delivery with cross-functional partners.
• Act as a process owner to diagnose issues and design scalable payroll improvements.
• Support equity-to-payroll workflows including RSU vests and shadow payroll considerations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for ADP EV6 and Workday HCM and stay adaptable to vendor landscapes.
• Drive compliance, audits, and controls across SOX, year-end filings, and statutory filings.
