Job summary

GenServe Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Payroll Analyst to support high-volume, weekly payroll across a multi-state workforce.

This role requires hands-on Paylocity experience, strong Excel proficiency, and knowledge of prevailing-wage requirements. You will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with federal/state/local laws, and audit-ready documentation while collaborating with HR, Benefits, and Finance.

Qualifications

2–5+ years of payroll experience, including weekly payroll processing.
Proven multi-state payroll experience with emphasis on compliance.
Experience performing payroll audits and data reconciliation.
Strong Excel data validation and analytical skills.
Familiarity with prevailing wage payroll requirements and related tax rules.

Responsibilities

Process full-cycle weekly payroll accurately and on time across multiple states and entities.
Import, validate, and reconcile timekeeping and payroll data within Paylocity.
Perform payroll audits, including variance analysis and earnings/deduction reconciliation.
Utilize a ticketing system to track payroll requests and maintain audit trails.
Apply and validate prevailing wage requirements including wage determinations and classifications.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and multi-state taxation.
Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Finance to ensure accurate payroll data.
Respond to employee pay inquiries and support payroll reporting and documentation.
Maintain internal controls, approval workflows, and separation of duties.
