BIC World in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to manage salaried and hourly payrolls across the United States and Canada, supporting about 700 employees with ADP Workforce Now.

The role delivers timely, accurate payroll, ensures US federal/state and Canadian compliance, partners with HR, Finance and vendors, and drives process improvements and automation while handling sensitive data with the highest discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly, weekly, and monthly US/Canada payrolls for ~700 employees across the US and Canada with ADP Workforce Now.
• Perform general ledger processing, tax and cash reporting, and reconciliations, coordinating with HR, Finance, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with US federal/state and Canadian requirements; handle year-end W-2s and T4s.
• Identify automation opportunities and participate in payroll system upgrades and special projects.

Purpose of the role:

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of salaried and hourly payrolls across the United States and Canada, supporting approximately 700 employees. This role ensures payroll compliance, financial accuracy, employee satisfaction, and operational excellence while driving process improvements and supporting key payroll initiatives.

The position serves as a trusted payroll subject matter expert, partnering closely with HR, Finance, employees, external vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional payroll services.

This position is responsible for:

• The timely and accurate processing of salaried and hourly employee payrolls on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis across the U.S. and Canada, currently supporting approximately 700 team members utilizing ADP Workforce Now.
• Responsibilities include:
  • Processing regular, bonus, and stock payrolls; managing transactions related to compensation, executive payroll postings, expatriate/inpatriate data requests, relocation postings, merit increase cycles, and one-time payments as needed, tax and cash funding activities, payroll processing requirements, decisions, issue resolution, and stakeholder interactions.
  • General ledger processing and adjustments, ongoing employee and employer account reconciliations, and collaboration with various business partners and outside vendors to ensure accurate data submissions and postings are received from the global HR system.
  • Year-end payroll processing, ensuring all reconciliations are balanced and required adjustments are completed timely and accurately to support the issuance of accurate W-2s and T4s.
• This position plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and timely while maintaining compliance with US federal, state, and applicable Canadian requirements. In addition, the position is responsible for reviewing current payroll processes, identifying opportunities for automation and increased processing efficiencies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role also participates in special projects, system upgrades, acquisitions, and other payroll-related initiatives and responsibilities as needed.

Major Responsibilities

• Handle bi-weekly, weekly, and monthly U.S. and Canada payroll processing, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll delivery.
• Perform general ledger processing, tax and cash reporting, and quarterly and annual payroll reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and proper reporting.
• Provide employee inquiry and issue support, conducting thorough research and timely resolution of payroll-related questions and concerns.
• Serve as a project team resource for payroll system capabilities, including system modifications, enhancements, upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.

Requirements

This role requires:

• 4-year college degree minimum.

• 10 years related Payroll experience as a minimum/ADP Workforce Now experience highly preferred.
• Handles highly sensitive payroll, employee, compensation, and financial information with the highest level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
• Strong and solid payroll processing background, thorough decision making and ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrates flexibility and commitment by working outside of normal business hours during peak periods, including year-end, to ensure timely and accurate completion of annual W-2/T4 processing and other critical payroll activities. Willingly adjusts their schedule to meet business needs and ensure deadlines are met.

• Ability to use knowledge to explain processes and participate in the outcomes of certain situations and change inherent behaviors when needed.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities while ensuring all payroll deadlines, compliance requirements, and business needs are consistently met.
