Job summary

Bausch + Lomb seeks a Payroll professional to support biweekly US/Canada payroll in a hybrid Bridgewater, NJ setting. You will ensure accurate processing, manage inquiries, and maintain compliant payroll records across multiple functions.

You will partner with HR, Benefits and Finance, applying attention to detail and confidentiality while leveraging payroll software and timekeeping systems to support payroll accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll or payroll administration experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, human resources or related field.
  • Experience processing or supporting biweekly payroll for US/Canada.
  • Experience with payroll managed services or third-party providers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Utilizing AI technologies to gain efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with timekeeping systems and payroll software.

Responsibilities

  • Process and review biweekly U.S. and Canada payroll with MSPs to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain knowledge of payroll fundamentals: earnings, deductions, taxes, time reporting.
  • Monitor payroll mailbox and respond professionally to inquiries.
  • Research and resolve employee questions related to pay and time reporting.
  • Audit and correct timecard errors prior to payroll submission.
  • Reconcile payroll data for hires, terminations, changes.
  • Track leaves of absence and coordinate with HR on pay.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance and payroll vendors.
  • Assist with audits, reporting and special payroll projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and review biweekly U.S. and Canada payroll in partnership with payroll managed service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of payroll fundamentals, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and time reporting
  • Monitor and manage the payroll electronic mailbox, ensuring timely and professional responses to employee and stakeholders on their payroll inquiries
  • Research and resolve employee questions related to pay, deductions, taxes, and time reporting
  • Review, audit, and correct timecard errors prior to payroll submission
  • Reconcile payroll data related to new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status
  • Track and reconcile employee leaves of absence, ensuring proper pay treatment and coordination with HR
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and validations to identify discrepancies and escape issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, and payroll vendors to support smooth payroll operations
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and special payroll projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of payroll or payroll administrative experience with good knowledge of payroll fundamentals
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, human resources or related field
  • Experience processing or supporting biweekly payroll, preferably for U.S. and/or Canada for exempt, non‑exempt and union non‑exempt employees
  • Previous experience working with payroll managed services or third‑party payroll providers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Utilizing AI technologies to gain efficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when responding to employee inquiries
  • Proficiency with timekeeping systems and payroll software
  • Comfortable working in a confidential environment with sensitive employee data
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to both U.S. and Canadian payroll processing
  • Experience supporting HR or Finance teams
  • Familiarity with leave administration and employment lifecycle processes

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $30.00 - $35.00 per hour. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. They may also be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, a tuition reimbursement program (select degrees), company holidays, and well‑being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive sick time, floating holidays and paid vacation.
