KEEN, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Payroll Accountant to serve as the primary connector between Payroll and Accounting, owning payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals across the company.

You will support month-end close, prepare payroll-related reports, and partner on UKG and SAP HANA implementations, enhancements and data mappings. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and at least six years in payroll accounting; CPP, FPC, CPA or CMA are

Competenze

• Experience preparing payroll journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Experience in multi-state payroll environments with taxes and deductions.
• Experience with accruals for bonuses, PTO, and other compensation.
• Ability to support month-end/quarter-end/year-end close activities.
• Knowledge of payroll systems, controls and reporting.

Mansioni

• Own the payroll accounting lifecycle, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Calculate and reconcile bonus, PTO, and other payroll accruals.
• Reconcile payroll liability, clearing and balance-sheet accounts; resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close with reconciliations and schedules.
• Establish and document payroll accounting processes and controls.
• Support audits with payroll reports and documentation.
• Partner on UKG and HANA implementations, mappings, testing and data validation.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline payroll processes.
• Prepare payroll-related financial reports and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
• Stay current on payroll accounting practices and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with UKG to resolve payroll tax discrepancies and filings.
