Job summary

Financeroles is seeking a Payroll Accountant to serve as the primary link between Payroll and Accounting teams across our organization, ensuring payroll activity is accurately recorded and reflected in financial records. This role owns payroll-related journal entries, general-ledger reconciliations, bonus and PTO accruals, and payroll liability accounts.

Working independently and with cross-functional teams, the Payroll Accountant resolves discrepancies, strengthens controls, and supports UKG

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance.
• Six years of progressive payroll accounting experience.
• CPP/FPC/CPA/CMA certification preferred.
• Experience with UKG and SAP HANA systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the payroll accounting lifecycle, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Reconcile payroll liabilities and accruals.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist audits with payroll reporting and documentation.
• Partner on UKG and HANA implementations and data validation.
