Job summary

Varo Money seeks a Payment Operations Analyst to manage primary payment channels and lead scalable operational solutions for accurate record-keeping and timely settlement of ACH and wire activity. You will monitor cash balances, balance ACH postings to the Federal Reserve, and provide ad hoc reporting while collaborating with Core Banking and external partners.

This role demands 5+ years in financial services, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work independently to drive process

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services with payment processing and/or treasury management
• Deep knowledge of bank policies, procedures, products, and Reg E compliance
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; AAP/CTP certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor ACH activity and reconcile postings
• Process and reconcile wire transfers and payments
• Balance daily cash positions and monitor liquidity
• Provide ad hoc reporting and insights on payment activity
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on system updates
• Onboard and mentor teammates; review entries
• Maintain documentation to limit bank liability
• Support escalation and issue resolution with external banks
