Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver, CO is seeking an engineer to lead the physical integration and packaging of structural, mechanical, fluids, and avionics subsystems for the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will define interfaces, manage ICDs, and coordinate with payload customers and mission teams to align with major design reviews and milestones.

The role emphasizes strong CAD skills, system integration, and collaboration across development teams to ensure safe, reliable human spaceflight.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering and at least 2 years of experience in development and packaging of spacecraft structures.
• Demonstrated configuration control experience from early trade studies through final design and into manufacturing and test.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software and visualization tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling and planning principles and tools.
• Good judgment and flexibility; driven to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Create and release New Glenn Integrated Launch Vehicle engineering drawings and models to support mission objectives.
• Create and maintain interface control drawings and models between major New Glenn elements, including payload interfaces.
• Define and manage payload accommodation environments (e.g., dynamic envelopes, access provisions, separation system interfaces, service connections).
• Support payload-specific mission integration activities from early planning through launch readiness.
• Create streamlined processes and linked datasets to enhance design engineering processes to operationalize the System Design organization.
