Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mission Integration Engineer specializing in Payload Integration & Test to join our growing team in Playa Vista, CA.

You will own planning and execution of customer payload integration and SV-level testing campaigns on our satellite bus platform. You will lead I&T campaigns, engage with customers on integration procedures, and coordinate cross-functional teams across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status required due to export controls.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience with complex hardware systems (spacecraft preferred).
• Experience in satellite manufacturing or related industries (aerospace/defense/high-tech).
• Strong space systems integration and test knowledge.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning of space vehicle I&T campaigns and field execution in cleanroom environments.
• Lead customer engagements to develop bus-to-payload integration procedures.
• Plan and execute space vehicle environmental testing (random vibration, quasi-static load, TVAC).
• Oversee SV-level functional testing to demonstrate integrated vehicle performance.
• Lead propulsion load operations for dynamic testing and launch.
• Review CLA and thermal analysis for test planning integration.
• Travel to launch sites for integration, checkouts, and rehearsals.
• Maintain customer system-level documentation (specs, ICDs, design descriptions).
• Support requirements analysis, verification, and validation per standards.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in design and operations.
