Apex seeks a Senior Mission Integration Engineer in Los Angeles to transform the spacecraft platform into customer missions. You will lead I&T campaigns on the cleanroom floor and manage bus-to-payload integration procedures with customers.

The role requires 8+ years in hardware, spacecraft experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration. ITAR considerations apply; Apex offers equity, comprehensive benefits, and a Playa Vista office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience with complex hardware, spacecraft preferred.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning of I&T campaigns and drive execution on the cleanroom floor.
• Lead customer engagements to develop bus-to-payload integration procedures.
• Plan and execute spacecraft-level environmental testing (random vibration, quasi-static load, TVAC).
• Plan and execute SV-level functional testing for integrated vehicle.
• Lead space vehicle propulsion load operations for dynamic testing and launch.
• Review CLA and thermal analyses for test planning.
• Travel to launch sites for integration and checkouts.
• Develop and maintain system-level documentation (specs, ICDs, SDD).
• Support requirements analysis, verification, and validation.
• Identify and assess technical risks; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in customer meetings and design reviews.
