Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health Performance Network in Westwood, MA seeks a Sr. Contract Manager to lead payor contracting efforts. You will negotiate terms, develop alternative reimbursement models, and manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for network hospitals and physicians.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and the ability to present proposals to senior leadership. You’ll monitor regulatory changes, optimize reimbursement strategies, and support care coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-8 years related work experience.
• Willingness to travel to offsite locations.
• Flexibility to attend early morning or evening meetings.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Think strategically to identify negotiating targets for payor negotiations.
• Develop and updates financial reimbursement models to inform contract negotiations.
• Ensure contract documents reflect negotiated terms and manage execution and filing.
• Act as primary contact for contract-related activities and manage payor relationships.
• Develop expertise on hospital/physician reimbursement and billing updates; address changes with payors.
• Develop strategies to promote care coordination and renegotiate contracts across product types.
• Prepare and present payor proposals and performance reports to Senior Management and committees.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting contract negotiations and provider reimbursement.
• Maintain contract information database and renewal tracking.
• Collaborate with hospital and physician groups to renegotiate consolidated contracts.
