The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation is seeking a Roadway Programs Manager 2 to guide pavement management and statewide highway planning, coordinating across bureaus to ensure safe, well-maintained roads for Pennsylvania communities.

In this role you will analyze data, develop standards, and help align long-range program goals with district and county needs, including telework options and a standard work schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Manger 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of professional or managerial experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques in a roadway maintenance management system including one year in a supervisory capacity and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsabilités

• Pavement Analysis: Review pavement conditions, evaluate needs, and provide data-supported recommendations for improvements
• Planning Support: Assist District and County staff in using pavement management tools and understanding performance measures
• Guideline Development: Help create statewide pavement management standards, project selection guidelines, and related policies
• Program Coordination: Work with multiple bureaus and partners to align pavement data, planning systems, and long-range program goals
• Preservation Guidance: Support maintenance and preservation strategies by reviewing practices, developing recommendations, and sharing best methods
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, managers, and agencies to share information, resolve issues, and support statewide initiatives

Formation

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or civil engineering related discipline
