Job summary
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Pavement Engineer to join our pavement consultancy team. The role focuses on delivering challenging design and research projects for highways, airports, ports and industrial pavements, while guiding project teams and mentoring junior staff.
You will work with valued clients across UK and international projects, applying your extensive knowledge of pavement materials and design standards to deliver sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
- Certified Pavement Engineer preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of pavement design principles (Flexible, Rigid and Composite).
- Experience with earthworks and pavement materials (Concrete, Asphalt).
- Experience with UK/international standards for pavement design.
Responsibilities
- Technical delivery of pavement engineering design and research projects.
- Lead projects and work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Prepare and review technical reports and design packages.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery meeting high quality standards.
- Develop client relationships and promote pavement asset management.
