Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a Senior Pavement Engineer to join our pavement consultancy team. You will lead the technical delivery of pavement design and research projects for highways, airports, ports and industrial pavements, collaborating with a global team.

The role requires degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with Chartered status, deep knowledge of pavement design and materials, and strong client-facing and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar disciplines.
• Certified Pavement Engineer preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of pavement design principles (Flexible, Rigid and Composite).
• Knowledge of earthworks and pavement materials (Concrete, Asphalt).
• Experience with UK and/or international standards for pavement design.
• Knowledge of construction techniques for new construction and maintenance works, including recycling.
• Experience in pavement investigation and evaluation techniques.
• Experience in managing and delivering projects and meeting client expectations.
• Ability to work in a client-facing environment and communicate well.
• Ability to work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and deliver technical pavement design and research work.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget project deliverables of high quality.
• Prepare and review technical reports and design packages.
• Build and maintain client and industry relationships.
• Promote pavement and asset management within AtkinsRéalis.
• Mentor and develop team members' skills and careers.
