Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience making outbound calls using VOIP software.
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; flexible schedule and multi-tasking.
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding and basic insurance guidelines.
• Commitment to HIPAA confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Performs introductory patient calls for assigned procedures and maintains SLA.
• Coordinates with offshore eligibility & pre-cert team and resolves discrepancies.
• Provides eligibility confirmation support and back-up for same-day or Medicare add-on procedures.
• Explains out-of-pocket costs and collects deposits as required.
• Finalizes scheduling once cleared and documents communications.
• Escalates patient fall-outs and coordinates handoff to appropriate managers.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and responds to work emails; participates in trainings.
