Job summary

clearway is seeking a Procedure Scheduling Representative II to manage complex procedures, high-end ASC cases, and escalations, serving as the senior liaison across scheduling, eligibility, providers, and operations.

Remote in Maryland or New Jersey, this role focuses on outbound patient calls, eligibility verification, and collaboration with offshore teams to ensure timely, accurate scheduling and compliant billing support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Proficient in Internet and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience making outbound VOIP calls.
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible schedule and ability to handle stressful patient health situations.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and third-party payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Make mandatory patient calls within SLA.
• Explain authorization status and scheduling timelines.
• Explain out-of-pocket costs and collect deposits.
• Finalize scheduling after clearance.
• Identify escalations and potential patient fallouts.
• Document communications and escalate per policy.
• Collaborate with offshore eligibility team.
• Provide backup for same-day, emergency, or Medicare add-on procedures.
• Serve as primary contact for patient hesitancy with reassurance.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Respond to work email regularly.
• Complete trainings and in-services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
