Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience making outbound calls using VOIP software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including customer service.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with doctors, staff, and the public.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, follow verbal and written instructions, and maintain flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Conducts introductory calls to patients for all assigned procedures.
• Acts as onshore liaison to offshore eligibility and pre-certification team.
• Verifies eligibility and benefits when discrepancies are identified to ensure scheduling accuracy.
• Provides eligibility confirmation during payer conflicts or escalations.
• Assists with same-day, emergency, and Medicare add-on procedures as needed.
• Completes mandatory calls within SLA and communicates authorization status and timelines.
• Explains out-of-pocket costs and collects deposits.
• Documents communications and escalates issues per policy.
• Partners with offshore eligibility team to resolve discrepancies and performs secondary eligibility verification when required.
• Responds to patient concerns with education and reassurance to support informed decisions.
• Escalates non-proceed cases to appropriate leadership and coordinates handoff for final disposition.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and responds to emails regularly.
• Completes trainings and in-services and performs other duties as assigned.
