Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Patient Financial Services Representative 4 to join the team in a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role supports the revenue cycle in a large health system and contributes to accurate patient billing and timely problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or three years of experience in revenue cycle, finance, customer service or data analytics required.
• 3 years of experience in revenue cycle, finance, customer service or data analytics preferred.
• Knowledge of payer requirements and hospital policies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures clean claims are submitted the same day with required attachments.
• Resolves complex issues by coordinating with team members and payer contacts.
• Reviews claims and initiates corrections or resolutions within 24 hours of receipt.
• Handles high-dollar accounts and provides appropriate follow-up per protocol.
• Works payer response and rejection reports to maintain quality and productivity.
• Takes direction from management and provides guidance to team members in supervisor's absence.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
