Job summary

University Health is seeking a Senior Patient Business Services Manager to supervise the PBS staff, oversee patient accounts receivable activities, and implement Lean processes across the business office. The role focuses on policy development to ensure CMS compliance with Medicare/Medicaid requirements and contract obligations.

The candidate will lead a team, drive performance, and coordinate with health-system leadership to meet goals and service standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Five years of hospital business office management experience required.
• Experience with third party payors and accounts receivable management preferred.
• Familiarity with 837/835 electronic billing and Medicare/Medicaid billing/follow-up preferred.
• Leadership skills and strong computer systems orientation are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains, directs and monitors performance of PBS staff.
• Oversees patient accounts receivable collection and related processes.
• Implements Lean methodology to continually improve business office operations.
• Develops policies/procedures to ensure CMS compliance and contract requirements.
