Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 60 college credit hours or an Associate’s Degree and 1 year clerical experience in patient admissions, registration, scheduling, or health insurance processing; or
• High school diploma/equivalency and 2 years clerical experience in healthcare or third‑party payer settings; or
• High school diploma/equivalency and a Medical Assistant/Medical Administrative Assistant/Certified Medical Office certificate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workflow and adjust assignments for equitable distribution of work.
• Audit and correct registration data and insurance details.
• Verify health insurance eligibility and preauthorizations where needed.
• Coordinate with departments to support patient access services and bed board operations.
