Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits or an AA/AS degree, or equivalent experience in patient access.
• Experience with patient registration, scheduling and health insurance verification is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers and registers patients across departments using computer systems.
• Schedules appointments and collects demographic and payer information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and collects co-pays at registration; assists with authorizations as needed.
