Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

Responsibilities

• Oversees registration and financial clearance activities for patient accounts.
• Obtains and enters demographic, financial, and clinical information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and notifies on failed eligibility.
• Obtains necessary authorizations and referrals.
• Notifies patients of liabilities and collects funds.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the system of record.
• Serves as a lead resource for lower level staff.
• Suggests improvements to management for performance.
