Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a Senior Patient Access professional for its Float Pool. This full-time role covers evening and overnight shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM / 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with rotating weekends, and requires travel to Inova Loudoun Hospital and surrounding outpatient practices.

The candidate will audit records, support escalations, assist with financial reviews, and coordinate insurance contracts while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 2 years of patient access experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient Intake, Registration & Documentation: Audits records and documentation for accuracy, troubleshoots discrepancies, and supports escalations.
• Administrative & Technology Operations: Compiles reports, troubleshoots system issues, and supports peers.
• Case Management Tasks: Audits referrals and supports escalations.
• Financial Counseling: Conducts financial reviews and mentors staff.
• Insurance & Contract Coordination: Troubleshoots complex cases and educates peers on insurance contract nuances.
• Inquiries & Patient Concerns: Handles escalations and analyzes trends.
