Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years related experience registering and scheduling complex patient appointments in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Medical terminology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Registration and scheduling of patient appointments across clinics, ancillary areas, and hospital; create and link pre-registration records; coordinate with other departments.
• Provide excellent customer service; act as a liaison between patients and staff; communicate clearly and calmly under pressure.
• Maintain data accuracy for patient demographics and insurance information; collect co-pays and provide pricing estimates; assist with financial clearance.
• Assure correct encounter types; process orders for diagnostic tests; ensure documentation accompanies orders and dates of service.
• Performs other departmental duties such as answering calls, faxing, filing, and data entry.
