Job summary

Valeris is a fully integrated life sciences commercialization partner dedicated to helping patients access crucial therapies. The Sr. Patient Navigator role focuses on insurance verification, prior authorizations, and appeals while educating providers and patients on access and reimbursement strategies.

The candidate will manage complex casework, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with field teams. Travel to HQ locations may be required periodically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in healthcare administration, social science, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in insurance reimbursement, patient access, direct patient care, or patient education.
• Certifications such as PACS, CHES, or CCM are a plus.
• Minimum two years of healthcare access delivery or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and payer processes.
• HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid regulatory familiarity.
• Bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact, provide case management for patients, caregivers, and HCPs.
• Deliver benefit investigations, prior authorization tracking, and appeal support.
• Educate patients and HCPs on access, payer policies, and Valeris programs.
• Build trusted relationships with patients and stakeholders with timely support.
• Coordinate with client field teams under agreed business rules.
• Document activities in Valeris system with detailed records.
• Travel may be required a few times per quarter to HQ nearest candidate.
