Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative IV to manage admissions activities, preregistration, and insurance verification for patients at the Main Admissions and outpatient areas. You will secure demographic and financial information, determine financial classification, and ensure accurate MRN assignment.

The role requires strong patient interaction, familiarity with hospital ADT systems, and ability to train frontline staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration or equivalent preferred.
• Three (3) years of healthcare experience in Patient Access, Registration, Financial Clearance, Scheduling, or Revenue Cycle roles required.
• CHAA certification preferred upon hire.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs admissions activities for pre-admit and face-to-face registration.
• Obtains financial clearance and determines patient’s financial classification; verifies insurance.
• Assigns MRN and ensures no duplication; follows Patient Identification Policy.
• Interacts with physicians and departments to assure accurate intake and account adjustments.
• Trains front line staff on forms and procedures; supports customer service with challenging situations.

Education
