The incumbent will secure accurate demographic and financial data while delivering exceptional patient service. Primary duties include patient interviews, cash collection, and coordination with physicians and departments to ensure complete registrations and proper records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration or equivalent preferred.
• Two years healthcare experience in patient access, registration or revenue cycle roles.
• CHAA certification preferred.
• Experience with referral/authorization is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-admit and face-to-face registration for patients.
• Obtain financial clearance and verify insurance electronically or by phone.
• Search systems to assign or locate medical record numbers.
• Coordinate physician selection and manage privilege/suspension issues.
• Interact with patients to gather information with sensitivity.
• Handle routine inquiries and escalate when needed.
• Explain patient financial obligations and meet cash collection goals.
• Collaborate with physicians and departments for accurate intake.
• Prepare reports as required and manage worklists daily.
• Be proficient across all registration areas and assist others.
