You will work with patients, clinicians, and payers across multiple portals, ensuring CPT codes are correctly documented and appeals are pursued when needed. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduation plus specialized courses or medical office certification.
• Experience in obtaining and processing insurance referrals and authorizations.
• Excellent knowledge of healthcare terminology and managed care.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Over three years of related medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine patient liability prior to service and notify patients of potential costs.
• Obtain pre-certification and authorization for evaluations and tests.
• Verify CPT codes are documented and authorized for services.
• Navigate payer portals to obtain authorizations and appeal denials.
• Coordinate with patients, clinicians, and payers to secure approvals.
