Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center in Fontana, CA, seeks a Pathology/Lab professional to perform high complexity tests, receive and gross tissue samples, assist in Mohs surgeries, and prepare bodies for autopsies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical lab science or equivalent, or health care related field AND minimum four (4) years of experience in medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or health care related field OR minimum seven (7) years of experience in medical technology, clinical laboratory sciences, or health care related field.
• Pathologist's Assistant Certificate required at hire

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity tests in pathology to support treatment and diagnosis.
• Receive and gross tissue samples; assist in Mohs surgeries; prepare bodies for autopsies as appropriate.
• Apply specimen handling and processing procedures; ensure accurate test results and maintain records.
• Assist in maintaining compliance, quality assurance, and safety practices in the lab.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and support process improvements.
