Job summary

The Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV, seeks a Physician (Regular Ft) Chief of Diagnostic Services to provide leadership over Imaging, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Audiology, and related services.

You will oversee clinical and administrative activities, drive quality improvement, and collaborate with the department and medical center leadership. This role requires MD/DO, board certification, and VA or federal healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an LCME- or COCA-accredited school.
• Board certification in a relevant specialty.
• Board-eligible or -certified clinicians encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Diagnostics services including Imaging, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Audiology and Speech Pathology, and Physical/Occupational Therapy.
• Oversee clinical and administrative activities, ensure patient outcomes and service quality.
• Develop and implement service policies, procedures, and performance improvement plans.
• Supervise staff, ensure credentialing, and manage staffing and leave planning.
• Coordinate with facility leadership and education affiliates for supervision and training.
