Job summary

Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV seeks an experienced physician to provide diagnostic support across Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The role involves handling surgical and cytology specimens, leading pathology services, and participating in hospital committees.

The ideal candidate is board certified or eligible in pathology, with current U.S. licensure and proven capacity to support laboratory operations and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency training in an accredited core specialty program.
• Board certified or eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Attend FNA and renal biopsy procedures to assess adequacy of specimens.
• Maintain high standards to ensure JC and CAP accreditation.
• Analyze surgical specimens and provide rapid, accurate reporting.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs.
