Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Senior Partner Engineer to lead the technical relationship with strategic AI partnerships such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Gemini.

You will own the joint roadmap, drive integration development, and create hands-on labs and demos in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Strategic Partnerships teams. You will design architectures spanning the Databricks platform and partner products, build POCs, and work with customers to align AI architectures with roadmap

Qualifications

• 10+ years in field engineering, consulting, platform architecture, or AI systems development.
• Depth in production AI systems including model serving, inference, retrieval, and agent frameworks.
• Hands-on engineering skills to develop POCs, demos, and debug integrations; experience with Python and REST APIs/SDKs.
• Established relationships within product and engineering teams of major AI labs and cloud providers.
• Experience in strategic technical partnerships, navigating multi-company engineering initiatives, and leading architectural discussions.
• Deep knowledge of the Databricks platform and designing AI architectures spanning it and partner products.
• Strong communication to present to engineering teams and executives, translating between Product, Engineering, and partner teams.
• Willingness to travel globally to partner sites, conferences, and events.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact across AI labs, building relationships with senior product and engineering stakeholders to drive joint innovation.
• Help shape the joint product roadmap by translating partner capabilities into platform requirements.
• Align joint offerings to meet the needs of Databricks, partners, and customers.
• Design and build integrations connecting Databricks and partner platforms, and validate new capabilities.
• Develop POCs and reference architectures that can be handed off to engineering or customers.
• Collaborate with strategic customers to align AI architectures with Databricks and partner roadmap needs.
• Create technical enablement content for internal and external field teams to articulate differentiated value.
