Job summary

The City of Stockton is seeking a Supervising Parking Enforcement Officer in the Housing, Homelessness, Events, & Parking Department. The role involves supervising staff, enforcing parking laws, and coordinating with other departments. Regular hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays. Background checks and medical examinations are required. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of relevant public sector

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
Three years of increasingly responsible experience in parking, code and/or security enforcement in a public setting.
Customer service lead and supervisory experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Supervises, schedules, evaluates, trains, and dispatches field personnel in parking enforcement.
Operates computer equipment and related devices; may monitor radio and log calls.
Maintains records on parking enforcement routes, violations, meters, and related data.
Responds to public inquiries and complaints regarding parking regulations and enforcement.
Issues emergency parking permits and delivery permits as required.
Maintains parking enforcement supplies and equipment, including citation books and keys.
Prepares reports and maintains statistics on on‑street parking topics.
Coordinates enforcement activities with other City departments and offices.
Performs field surveys and coordinates enforcement of parking programs.
