The ONeil Search Group represents a top global law firm seeking an IP Litigation Senior Paralegal to support matters from the DC or NY office. The role requires a minimum of seven years’ IP Litigation experience and trial experience.

The candidate will manage complex cases, oversee discovery, coordinate with internal and external teams, and ensure timely production of documents and analyses while maintaining billable targets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex IP litigation cases and develop networks of resources.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects and prioritize assignments.
  • Review and analyze documents and data to support case objectives.
  • Prepare and edit memos, letters, and factual analyses.
  • Oversee and mentor paralegals and temporary staff and provide feedback on performance.
  • Meet billable expectations and submit time notes and timecards.

Job description

An IP Litigation Senior Paralegal needed at a top global law firm. To work from the DC or NY office.

Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in IP Litigation and trial experience required

  • Apply broad set of knowledge and skills to effectively manage complex cases, demonstrating insight into legal procedures, project management, cost efficiencies, and collaborative skills; effectively identify, promote, and apply technologies to maximize efficiency in carrying out assignments.
  • Manage complex cases; develop relationships, internally and externally, to gather data and information and to create networks of relevant resources and services.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize assignments appropriately; determine and implement effective organizational and procedural methods.
  • Review and analyze documents and data, perform procedural and factual research with understanding of client, matter, and business needs; provide insightful analysis, recommendations, and solutions to further case objectives.
  • Create and maintain, or oversee maintenance of, files, documents, and data.
  • Prepare and edit a range of written materials, including correspondence, memoranda, drafts of legal documents, and factual analyses.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to other paralegals and temporary staff, as needed, through training and mentoring; provide feedback as appropriate on performance.
  • Comply with administrative requirement to meet billable expectations; prepare and release timenotes on a daily basis; prepare and submit timecards on a weekly basis.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in IP Litigation required
  • Trial Experience required
  • Significant experience in managing discovery requests, responses, and document production
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong sense of accountability, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong research, analytical, and data synthesis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet client and business demands
