You will partner with attorneys and fellow paralegals to manage complex cases, perform legal research, and prepare court-ready documents, while applying technology to improve efficiency.

You will oversee a team of paralegals and temporary staff, ensure precise document production, monitor billable hours, and handle multiple projects under deadlines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex IP litigation cases and develop relationships to gather data and resources
  • Oversee discovery requests, responses, and document production
  • Review and analyze documents and data to support case objectives
  • Prepare and edit written materials including correspondence, memoranda, and drafts of legal documents
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior paralegals and temporary staff; ensure billable targets are met
  • Submit time entries daily and timecards weekly to meet administrative requirements

  • Apply broad set of knowledge and skills to effectively manage complex cases, demonstrating insight into legal procedures, project management, cost efficiencies, and collaborative skills; effectively identify, promote, and apply technologies to maximize efficiency in carrying out assignments.
  • Manage complex cases; develop relationships, internally and externally, to gather data and information and to create networks of relevant resources and services.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize assignments appropriately; determine and implement effective organizational and procedural methods.
  • Review and analyze documents and data, perform procedural and factual research with understanding of client, matter, and business needs; provide insightful analysis, recommendations, and solutions to further case objectives.
  • Create and maintain, or oversee maintenance of, files, documents, and data.
  • Prepare and edit a range of written materials, including correspondence, memoranda, drafts of legal documents, and factual analyses.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to other paralegals and temporary staff, as needed, through training and mentoring; provide feedback as appropriate on performance.
  • Comply with administrative requirement to meet billable expectations; prepare and release timenotes on a daily basis; prepare and submit timecards on a weekly basis.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in IP Litigation required
  • Trial Experience required
  • ITC Experience a plus
  • Significant experience in managing discovery requests, responses, and document production
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong sense of accountability, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong research, analytical, and data synthesis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet client and business demands
  • Willingness to travel as required
