Job summary

Kahana Feld seeks a skilled Paralegal to support attorneys in our General Liability litigation team. The role involves coordinating complex documents, managing case files, and performing eDiscovery tasks under attorney supervision.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years paralegal experience in California, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with PACER/CM/ECF. This is an in-office role with hybrid work after 90 days, offering competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury in California.
• Familiarity with online databases and resources.
• Knowledge of PACER and CM/ECF system.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with accurate document prep.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of e-fling providers including One Legal, First Legal, Odyssey File & Serve, Green Filing.

Responsibilities

• Under attorney supervision, coordinate, organize, prepare, and interpret complex legal documents.
• Direct workflow on various cases with attorneys.
• Review and maintain documents and case files; prepare filings for courts and agencies.
• Conduct eDiscovery tasks and document productions.
• Assist with drafting discovery, pleadings, and status reports.
• Organize case-related team meetings and prepare summaries of responses.
• Assist with preparation for hearings and depositions.
• Conduct legal research and factual research in databases and libraries.
• Coordinate and prepare for trials and attend hearings as needed.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and billing for all work performed.
