Job summary

The State of Colorado, Office of the Attorney General, Civil Litigation and Employment Law Section, seeks an experienced Senior Paralegal to join its Employment Law Defense Unit at launch. You will manage case files, deadlines, and filings and support discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate through ABA‑approved program or equivalent.
• One year of paralegal experience minimum.
• Substitutions include two years of paralegal work with legal research and drafting.
• A Juris Doctorate may substitute for the certificate.

Responsibilities

• Open, maintain, and close case files with pleadings and discovery materials.
• Track court deadlines, calendars, and milestones for attorneys and teams.
• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and notices in state and federal courts.
• Coordinate with client agencies, court personnel, and counsel to move matters forward.
