Job summary

Azala in Arizona is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our commercial litigation team. The successful candidate will have a degree or certificate and five years or more of experience in construction, real estate and business litigation, and will be familiar with electronic filing in TurboCourt and CM/ECF.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree or certificate in paralegal studies.
• Five years+ of experience in construction, real estate and business litigation.
• Familiar with electronic filing in TurboCourt and CM/ECF; Westlaw experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial drafts of legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery and subpoenas; ensure compliance with court rules.
• ESI search, review and production management in large complex cases.
• Review documents for privilege and draft privilege logs for production.
• Prepare for trial/depositions and organize exhibits; manage logistics and notebooks.
• Investigate facts and search public records and online sources.
• Provide case management assistance and litigation tracking/docketing.
• Maintain case filing systems and databases.
• Summarize document productions and depositions; create timelines and perform special projects.
• Create and maintain document and exhibit indexes, charts, and summaries.
• Conduct legal research under attorney supervision.
• Schedule meetings and court reporters; manage administrative tasks.
