Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Painting Technician to follow manufacturing instructions and apply coatings to fabricated components. You will operate spray equipment, select paint materials, and assist in process improvements, all while maintaining a safe, organized work cell.

The role requires adherence to quality standards, ability to read drawings, and collaboration with engineering and production teams in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in mixing, preparation and painting.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals such as solvents, acidic and alkaline solutions and aqueous cleaners.
• Able to support a flexible work schedule including alternate shifts, overtime, off-Fridays and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing instructions to mark fabricated components using silk screen, stencil or pad printing methods.
• Operate and maintain painting, spraying and dipping equipment, both automatic and manual.
• Mix paints, pigments and solvents to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Assist engineering staff in developing new processes and troubleshoot existing paint systems.
• Interpret CAD data and drawings for paint, marking and touch-up tasks.
