Job summary

The role covers operation of paint preparation gear, bead blasting, and high-pressure washing, plus applying primers and finishes to meet thickness and surface quality.

The ideal candidate can work with various spray systems, adhere to safety standards, and complete work within required timeframes while maintaining equipment and complying with federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to do the work of a painter without more than normal supervision.
• Experience as a painter is valued but not strictly required.
• U.S. citizenship is required and security/suitability procedures apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs journeyman-level painting and preparation of machine tools and industrial equipment (lathes, mills, drills).
• Operates paint preparation equipment including bead blasting and high-pressure washers.
• Applies primers and finishes (catalyst paints, sealants, enamels) to surfaces.
• Sets up and operates spray-painting equipment (air-assisted, airless, conventional).
• Ensures coatings meet protective requirements and specifications within time frames.
