Job summary

IFF Health & Biosciences in Clackamas, OR is seeking a Packaging Operator to support production goals and ensure cGMP compliance. You will operate advanced automated packaging equipment across multiple workstations, collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and shift leaders, and mentor newer staff.

The shift is Monday–Friday, 2pm–10:30pm, with potential overtime. Strong English communication, basic math, and adherence to safety and quality standards are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, use basic shop math skills, algebra and basic computer skills.
• Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred.
• A legal right to work in the United States.
• Must pass drug screen and a background check in accordance with IFF standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex automatic machine operation functions in multiple locations to support production goals and quality.
• Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, engineering, and production crew to optimize packaging efficiency and troubleshoot equipment.
• Follow work instructions for each operation in the job rotation.
• Provide mentorship to new or less-experienced staff and train operators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance and production leadership.
• Maintain cGMP compliance through accurate documentation, inspections, and re-qualification.
• Identify hazards and ensure workplace safety, PPE compliance, and cleanliness.
