Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic for a high-speed food production site in DuPage County, IL. It is an on-site, on-shift role with pay ranging from $40.00 to $55.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of maintenance experience in high-speed food packaging, co-packing, or food manufacturing.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability without full electrician credentials.
• Proven experience maintaining and rebuilding packaging machinery such as baggers, form-fill-seal equipment, and sealers.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Willing and able to coach less experienced mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Keep high-speed packaging and processing equipment running across a large, multi-line plant.
• Rebuild and refurbish machinery to like-new condition during planned and emergency downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults on baggers, sealers, scales, and supporting equipment, and fix them without waiting on help.
• Handle electrical troubleshooting and repairs on the lines as part of daily work.
• Teach and mentor junior technicians, passing along knowledge.
