Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in DuPage County, IL is seeking a Lead Packaging Maintenance Mechanic for high-speed food production lines. You will maintain, repair, and refurbish packaging equipment such as baggers and form-fill-seal systems, while guiding junior technicians on the floor.

This top-level role requires 5–10+ years of maintenance experience and strong electrical troubleshooting. On-site shifts with overtime options are available as part of a privately held production operation.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in maintenance for high-speed food packaging lines.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting without full electrician credentials.
• Experience maintaining/rebuilding packaging machinery like baggers and form-fill-seal equipment.
• Willing to coach junior technicians and take on tough problems on the floor.
• High school diploma or GED; technical certs or AAS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep high-speed packaging and processing equipment running across multiple lines.
• Rebuild and refurbish machinery to like-new condition during planned and emergency downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults and repair without waiting for help.
• Handle electrical troubleshooting as part of daily work.
• Teach and mentor junior technicians.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and log work in the CMMS.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering on improvement projects.
