Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager of Commercial Secondary Packaging to lead a team of packaging engineers in Ohio. You will ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient packaging processes to meet ongoing commercial supply demands.

You will set priorities for the packaging organization, drive operational excellence, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to deliver high-quality product to patients.

Qualifications

• Experience leading packaging engineering teams.
• Experience in manufacturing, quality, and regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to drive root cause analysis and CAPAs.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of packaging engineers supporting commercial operations.
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for deviations with effective CAPAs.
• Improve packaging line performance through equipment reliability and process robustness.
• Own packaging configurations, specifications, and maintenance of qualified state for commercial products.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and External Supply for regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, waste, and variability.
• Support change control activities across internal and external sites.
• Provide regular updates to site leadership on performance and issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and external partners to align standards.
