Job summary

Sloan Valve Company seeks a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and optimization of packaging solutions that protect products and improve supply chain efficiency. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to drive cost-effective, sustainable packaging innovations.

The role requires 5+ years in packaging engineering, proficiency with 3D CAD, and a strong grasp of ISTA/ASTM standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
5+ years experience in packaging engineering/packaging development.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software for packaging design and engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of packaging testing methodologies and industry standards (ISTA/ASTM).
Experience with sustainability initiatives and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional packaging initiatives with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Distribution, Marketing, and external suppliers.
Design, develop, and implement primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions for new and existing products.
Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and prototypes using 3D CAD software.
Lead packaging validation and testing to ensure regulatory and internal standards compliance.
Identify opportunities to reduce packaging costs and waste while maintaining product protection and performance.
