The senior packaging engineer will mentor juniors, coordinate with suppliers, and drive continuous improvement in packaging performance and efficiency across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Senior packaging engineer with technical leadership in packaging.
• Ability to manage multiple packaging programs and projects.
• Mentor to co-ops and entry level engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develops and designs new packaging for safe, convenient transport under varied conditions.
• Reviews test methods and develops new test methods where applicable.
• Evaluates packaging methods and recommends efficient packing procedures.
• Develops drawings and specifications with suppliers for materials and design.
• Designs and coordinates lab tests and plant trials to assess feasibility.
• Provides technical support to ensure quality and supply of packaging materials.
• Oversees coordination of activities at contract packaging and labeling sites.
